Hey guys,
If you haven't had a chance to respond to the scrimmage poll on the site, do it now. Some of you may not be checking the blog & just waiting till you get the email update. It doesn't send an email if the announcement section is updated, so make sure to check in a bit more often.

Batting Video
Hey Gang,
I've posted the batting clips, and will do the same w/ defense when I get a chance. In the past, I just put the swings in there, but this time i put in all the pitches cuz it's interesting to see where the pitches are falling... For some of these it seems like the best contact is behind the plate.

Uncle Rico's Scouting Report
Hey Gang,
A few of us braved the frost and watched Mercy Hill shut out Evangel 11-0. There were quite a few fielding errors which could have kept the game much closer. They will be the best hitting team we've faced, but if we play smart and crisp, we SHOULD be able to out hit them.
Here's the notes on their batting for the game.
Scouting report on Mercy Hill
Batting Order
1. Deep Right Center, Right Field, Right Center
2. Single RBI up center, Single to short, up center
3. (Kevin O) – walk, Single right center, Double left center
4. fly out, over left center’s head, to SS
5. (Tommy O) – single up center, single up center, ground to short
6. (#22) – Single pop out. Single to left
7. (#3) – Ground out to short, ground out to short,, to short.

Ok... I have to go get a life.

Scouting Report
Ok men,
Tonite's a big game! Calvary is 2-0, and they believe they are a stronger team than we saw last year. Key notes: The pitcher can usually throw a strike when he needs to, and he's not afraid to throw absolute garbage. Alex Blahnik could be a power hitter for them.
Watching the clips from game 2 we can see what happens w/ good swings versus the bad ones. The key is waiting for the ball (don't swing when it's out in front of you), and making sure you've got a level swing. Most of the fouls / strikes were because of trying to crush the ball which tends to mean you swing too early.
It should be a great night for ball!
That's all I got!
